Disable One Drive in Windows 10

Maybe you need to do 2 things. Prevent One Drive Install for new users and deinstall OneDrive on old computers.

prevent One Drive Install for new users

We need to edit the registry of the default user. Under HKU\default\software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run is a Key called OneDriveSetup which triggers for every new logged in user a OneDrive Setup.

So run the following command as soon as possible after a fresh Windows 10 Installation and you get rid of it. Of course you should run it in security context to avoid a logon.

reg load "hku\Default" "{%SystemDrive%}\Users\Default\NTUSER.DAT"
reg delete HKU\default\software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run /v OneDriveSetup /f
reg unload "hku\Default"

silent deinstall OneDrive on Windows 10

To Deinstall it for every User do following

"%SystemRoot%\SysWOW64\OneDriveSetup.exe" /uninstall

"%SystemRoot%\System32\OneDriveSetup.exe" /uninstall
